The old “if at first you don’t succeed” rule is in effect for Amiyah Scott.
Scott, if don’t recall, is the transgender woman who tried to get on “Real Housewives of Atlanta,” but was rejected, is now the recipient of an even bigger break. She’s been cast in the “Empire” spin-off.
She may not have made the “RHOA” cut, but the buzz from her losing out apparently caight the attention of “Empire” creator/director Lee Daniels who asked her to read for his new show, reports TMZ.
Our production sources say Daniels loved Amiyah’s look and thought she’d be perfect for one of the singers in a girl group.
The spin-off is a prequel to “Empire,” showcasing a young Cookie Lyon.
By the way, Amiyah’s never acted before so her look must’ve been the deal clincher. However, she’s getting a crash course.
