Meet Miami’s Stephanie Acevedo, the newest signing to Lil Wayne’s Young Money Entertainment, joining Nicki Minaj, Christina Milan, and Chanel West Coast on the rapper’s label.
To confirm the news, Wayne recently uploaded a video of the Cuban-Puerto Rican artist performing a cover of Leona Lewis’ Top 40 hit to his official YouTube account, where he called her a “newly signed Young Money artist.” It’s not the strongest showing for a debut look at the artist, but maybe there’s more we can look forward to in the works.
The official announcement comes soon after Wayne publicly griping about Birdman and Cash Money Records’ delays on his album release, although the signing might have actually happened months ago, when Acevedo posted a shot of herself on Instagram with Lil Wayne, and sporting a YM chain:
^^ That picture was from 51 weeks ago and we still haven’t heard any music from her.
